  • Religion as a defense system for minorities against the majority of the society.

Performance of the film: Islam: my identity or the reason of my escape
 

• Summary:

This documentary is about the six lifestyles of Moslems and women from different Islamic countries, who are now living in Europe.  The women talk about their experiences with the religion. They have very different opinions and experiences with religion.


The film was produced for the day “No to Violence” and shown at the University of Dortmund.  The film was selected at the 11. International Women’s Film Festival Feminale 2002 in Cologne in the category Slow Motion.  Also, the film was shown in the repertoire cinema in Freiburg and moreover took part at the First International Film Festival NurembergDirectora” in 2003.
